The interim government’s advisory council approved the proposed list of 26 holidays for the 2025 calendar year Today (October 17).

However, nine holidays coincided with weekends (Fridays and Saturdays).

A press release from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said the approval came at the Advisory Council meeting held at his office, which was chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

The government’s executive order will create 12 general and 14 other holidays.

In 2025, the number of holidays has increased by four days compared to the previous year.
