Special security measures have relocated 684 Rohingyas from various refugee camps in Ukhiya to Bhasan Char.
On Wednesday afternoon, they departed by bus from the D/5 field of Kutupalong Camp-2 (West).
According to Shamsud Douza Nayan, Additional Commissioner of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Office, the group includes 561 Rohingyas who had traveled from Bhasan Char to Ukhiya camps over time, 42 who arrived on emergency visits, and 81 who had fled from Bhasan Char.
He further stated that after completing formalities in the morning, they are scheduled to be transported to Bhasan Char by ship from Patenga.
