With the slogan “Your Police, By Your Side—Share Information, Receive Service”, the Teknaf Model Police Station organized an Open House Day to foster stronger ties with the local community. The event was held on Saturday (April 19) at 11 a.m. in the station premises.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Gias Uddin presided over the program, while Inspector (Investigation) Himel Roy conducted the session.
OC Gias Uddin emphasized in his speech, “Police are not enemies of the public, but their friends. We are always ready to serve—just support us with the right information.” He also reiterated the department’s zero-tolerance stance against drugs and all forms of crime.
The event drew active participation from local politicians, student representatives, journalists, and members of various professional groups. Attendees praised the initiative and urged the police to continue such open forums to promote transparency, trust, and public safety.
