Cox’s Bazar is experiencing a striking contrast in weather—rainy nights followed by scorching daytime heat. In this sweltering condition, tourists find relief in the sea, spending hours cooling off in the salty waters.

For a refreshing dip, most beachgoers are flocking to three main points—Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha. Despite concerns over possible cyclonic activity, the sea remains calm for now, marked with red-and-yellow safety flags, indicating it’s safe to swim.

However, visitors are being reminded to follow specific bathing guidelines. According to Sea Safe Lifeguard services, designated swimming zones have been marked at these three locations, where lifeguards are actively on duty. Tourists are urged not to swim outside these flagged areas, as doing so could pose serious risks.

Imtiaz Ahmed, Field Team Manager of Sea Safe Lifeguard, confirmed, “The red-and-yellow flags are still in place, signaling that the sea is currently safe. But conditions can change rapidly. If the sea turns rough, we will switch to red flags to signal danger.”

Tourists are advised to stay alert, follow lifeguard instructions, and responsibly enjoy Cox’s Bazar’s natural beauty.
