Adviser for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Syeda Rizwana Hasan stressed the need for constructing eco-friendly buildings.
She said building designs should allow work to be done during the day time using natural sunlight without electric lighting.
“The buildings must also be designed to ensure adequate airflow. Environment-friendly construction materials, such as block bricks, should be used,” she added.
The meeting was held at the ministry’s conference room to review the progress of the Annual Development Programme for fiscal 2024-25, said a statement.
