In the wake of the tragic plane crash of Milestone School and College in Dhaka, a day of mourning was observed on Tuesday, July 22, at several educational institutions in Moheshkhali.
From early morning, Moheshkhali College, Moheshkhali Adarsha High School, Kalarmarchra High School, Leadership High School and College, West Fakiraghona Government Primary School, and Moheshkhali Model Government Primary School, among others, held separate mourning ceremonies.
Each of these ceremonies, led by the heads of the institutions, saw participation from both teachers and students. Special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and for the speedy recovery of the injured.
It is noteworthy that a Bangladesh Airforce’s training aircraft crashed on Milestone School and College, Dhaka on Monday, which claimed 31 lives and left hundreds injured.
The incident has cast a shadow of sorrow across the entire country and the government declared Tuesday as a day of mourning.
