In Cox’s Bazar, the first phase of the Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) recruitment process—comprising physical measurements and fitness tests—is scheduled for August 17, 18, and 19. However, with Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations also taking place on August 17 and 19, many candidates feared they might miss the recruitment test.

Addressing the matter with compassion, the Cox’s Bazar District Police has taken a special initiative to ensure no eligible candidate is left out.

Superintendent of Police Md Saifuddin Shahin announced that free transport will be provided for HSC candidates from remote upazilas to the police lines so they can participate in the recruitment process without difficulty.

In particular, candidates from Kutubdia, Pekua, and Chakaria who are sitting for the HSC exam will be transported from designated pick-up points to the police lines after completing their exam on August 17 and 19, upon showing their admit cards. Under police supervision, they will then be escorted to the recruitment venue—making the process more inclusive and candidate-friendly.

Pick-up schedule: Magnama Ghat, Pekua – 3:00 PM, Pekua Chowmuhani – 3:20 PM, and Chakaria Bus Stand – 3:45 PM.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and Media Focal Point Jasmin Uddin Chowdhury described the initiative as “a vital step towards fulfilling the Bangladesh Police’s commitment to a merit-based, transparent, and discrimination-free recruitment process.”

The public widely praises this thoughtful measure for ensuring that no HSC candidate misses the opportunity to attend the recruitment test.
