Md. Rashid, a 35-year-old day labourer from Himchari in Cox’s Bazar, interacts with many tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar.
However, he feels limited by his lack of education and said that he still works as a day laborer at his age. He could have worked in the many hotels and restaurants here if he had studied a little.
Looking ahead, he is determined to provide better education opportunities for his children.
“I want my children to study because there are many job opportunities in the tourism sector of this area,” he added.
He expressed optimism that Himchari, along with Cox’s Bazar, will continue to flourish as a tourist destination, creating more employment for the local community in the future.
