Charpara, just to the right of Darianagar beach, where fishing sampans and cork sheet boats are lined up and this scene draws curiosity and admiration from the tourists. However, upon closer inspection, the beach is marred by garbage, dampening the beauty of the area.

“It would be wonderful if such a beautiful spot wasn’t cluttered with trash,” said a tourist. Local fishermen explained that recent heavy rainfall in Cox’s Bazar caused the garbage to wash down from nearby hills and roads, accumulating on the beach.
