Zubaida Aktar, a resident of Charpara of Darianagar seashore of Cox’s Bazar, lives with her husband, Nurul Islam, and their two children. While Nurul spends his days and nights fishing in the sea, Zubaida contributes significantly through her own entrepreneurial efforts.

She dries salted raw fish on the seashore, turning them into dried fish that she sells at local markets. Her monthly earnings from this venture range between Tk10,000-Tk15,000.

Meanwhile, her creativity doesn’t stop there as she also crafts beautiful oyster garlands, which she makes by collecting shells from the beach.

During the oyster season, she earns an additional Tk20,000 from selling these unique necklaces.
