A briefing parade was held in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday morning to maintain law and order during the 13th National Parliamentary Election–2026. The parade brought together police and Ansar-VDP personnel assigned to election duties and took place at the Cox’s Bazar Police Lines ground.

The event was presided over by Cox’s Bazar Superintendent of Police ANM Sajedur Rahman, with officers and force members deployed for election duty in attendance.

During the briefing, the superintendent of police provided detailed instructions on personnel duties and responsibilities, as well as actions to avoid. He said the district police remain on the highest level of alert to ensure that the election is conducted in a free, fair, impartial, and credible manner.

He added that police officers stationed at key polling centres have been equipped with online body-worn cameras, enabling real-time monitoring of the situation at polling stations.

The superintendent further stated that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure that residents of Cox’s Bazar can exercise their voting rights in a peaceful and uninterrupted environment. Urging personnel to maintain professionalism, neutrality, and discipline, he instructed them to respond immediately, prudently, and responsibly to any sign of irregularity, disorder, or violence in the election environment.

Police sources said that on election day, members of the police, Ansar-VDP, and other law enforcement agencies will work in coordination to maintain overall security. Cox’s Bazar district has already undertaken extensive preparations ahead of the polls.
