The sky over Cox’s Bazar turned overcast with dark clouds from early afternoon, followed by a light drizzle as the day progressed, bringing a sense of relief to residents.
According to locals, temperatures were relatively high earlier in the day, but weather conditions changed suddenly in the afternoon as clouds gathered and the sky grew heavy. By late afternoon, light rain began to fall across the city, creating a calm atmosphere on major roads and in surrounding areas.
Md Nurul Islam, a resident of the town, said he had been struggling with the heat. “This light rain has brought some comfort. There is also occasional wind, so the weather may change further,” he added.
Officials at the Cox’s Bazar meteorological office said such variable weather is common in coastal areas. Light rainfall may continue over the next few hours, they noted.
While the drizzle slightly slowed down daily activities, it added a refreshing charm to the natural surroundings. Tourists flocked to the beach, relishing the rain-soaked scenery.
