At a time when frequent power outages and load shedding continue to disrupt daily life, technology-driven solar solution provider Ramon Power has launched operations in Cox’s Bazar, aiming to promote renewable energy in the region.

The company has begun its journey in the renewable energy sector, leveraging modern Chinese technology.

Cox’s Bazar district council administrator, ATM Nurul Bashar, inaugurated the showroom and warehouse of Ramon Power, located on IVP Road in the town, through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. A prayer session was also held before the inauguration.

Ramon Power, foreign affairs manager, Towhidul Islam said that the government was currently placing the highest priority on renewable energy in electricity generation.

He said that Ramon Power wanted to work as a partner in supporting the government’s renewable energy goals.

He also said that the company planned to work in coordination with local residents and the administration to help address the electricity crisis in Cox’s Bazar.

He believes that large-scale solar power generation through on-grid systems could also facilitate future electricity supply to the national grid.

The showroom and warehouse offer a range of solar solutions, including panels, batteries, inverters, on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems.

Company officials said that, as the products were imported directly from China, customers in Cox’s Bazar would be able to purchase them at lower prices compared with Dhaka.

They also said the company planned to establish a large-scale factory in the future.

Local residents who attended the inaugural program welcomed the initiative, saying that expanding the use of solar power had become essential to tackling the ongoing electricity crisis.
