The hills of Dariya Nagar, one of Cox’s Bazar’s popular tourist destinations, have taken on a fresh look during the monsoon, drawing tourists with their lush greenery and picturesque landscape.
Days of rainfall have blanketed the hills in vibrant green, while mist-covered hilltops and the tranquil natural surroundings are attracting tourists eager to experience the area’s seasonal beauty.
Visitors can be seen exploring the hills from morning until evening, enjoying the fresh air, verdant landscape and panoramic views.
Resident Mohammad Hasan said that the hills are at their greenest during the monsoon season.
“Rain washes away the dust, revealing the true beauty of the hills, which fascinates tourists,” he said.
Despite the scenic appeal, locals and authorities have urged tourists to remain cautious, warning that prolonged or heavy rainfall increases the risk of landslides as the soil becomes unstable.
They advised tourists to avoid unnecessary visits to hilly areas during heavy rain, stay away from vulnerable slopes and maintain a safe distance while enjoying the natural surroundings.
They said observing basic safety precautions would help make monsoon visits to Dariya Nagar both enjoyable and safe.
