Bakkhali River in Ramu of Cox’s Bazar will come alive with excitement due to a traditional rural sporting event, the annual boat race competition, which will take place on October 4 (Friday).
Organized by the Charpara Sports Council of Officer Char in Fatehkharkul Union, the competition will feature six boat teams from Officer Char’s village.
According to the organizers, preparations for the 2024 Officer Char Inter-Boat Race Competition are underway.
The race will take place on the southern side of Atikkabibi Ghat Bridge on the Bakkhali River.
The national anthem and a spectacular fireworks display will kick off the event.
The entire village is buzzing with excitement as the boat race approaches. The participating teams conduct their regular practice on the Bakkhali River every afternoon, which draws large crowds of spectators eager to witness the thrilling competition.
