The first two kilometers of the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive, eroded by relentless sea waves, are finally set for reconstruction.

The Bangladesh Army will soon build protective embankments to restore the damaged section.

Tourists, businesses, transportation stakeholders, and locals are optimistic that the long-standing inconvenience caused by alternative routes will soon end, allowing them to enjoy the scenic Marine Drive’s benefits fully.

Area Commander of the Bangladesh Army, Major General Sheikh Md. Sarwar Hossain recently inspected the damaged section.

Tourism stakeholders expect that once the repairs are completed, it will alleviate the prolonged challenges and play a crucial role in enhancing the region’s tourism potential.
