Bhola Canal, a key reservoir in Pekua Upazila, Cox’s Bazar, remains an important source of livelihood for local fishermen.

Around midday, several fishermen stand along the canal banks, casting their nets in search of a catch.

Mohammad Noman, one of the fishermen, shares that although fish were once plentiful, their numbers have dwindled. Yet, he continues to catch fresh fish, which he sells to support his family.
