To prevent cervical cancer, a free HPV vaccination program will begin on October 24 for girls in grades 5 to 9, as well as out-of-school adolescents aged 10 to 14, in Kutubdia, Cox’s Bazar.
Registration for the vaccination, which requires a birth registration number, has already commenced on the designated website.
To raise awareness about the initiative, the Kutubdia Upazila Health Complex has conducted two sessions with relevant stakeholders.
Dr. Mohammad Golam Mostafa Nadim, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer of Kutubdia, announced that the target is to vaccinate over 8,718 adolescent girls in the area.
