Administrations of coastal districts have made massive preparations to deal with the approaching cyclonic storm ‘Dana.’
A press release said that the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry discussed cyclone preparedness with Deputy Commissioners of coastal districts and is maintaining round-the-clock communication to deal with cyclone ‘Dana’.
As part of this, the disaster management committee held an emergency meeting today in the conference room of the respective DC office.
Medical teams have been formed, and CPP and Red Crescent volunteers have been prepared to deal with the cyclone. All the activities must be taken in advance to deal with the cyclone have also been taken.
Meanwhile, the upazila administration has been given the necessary guidelines to prepare for any situation related to the cyclone.
According to the latest bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the Cyclonic Storm “DANA” over the East Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved West-Northwestwards. The department has issued cautionary signal no. 3 for four maritime ports.
