Sawyddollah, a Rohingya refugee, has been awarded a scholarship to study at New York University.
His journey toward higher education has been fraught with challenges since fleeing Myanmar due to military oppression, leaving him stateless and without a passport.
Initially, Sawyddollah faced rejection from various universities in Bangladesh due to his status.
Undeterred and determined to pursue higher education, he began advocating for the educational rights of Rohingya students and applied to over 100 universities worldwide.
Because of his perseverance, he finally received acceptance into New York University. The US Embassy in Dhaka publicly congratulated him, acknowledging his resilience and hoping his story would inspire others.
Despite his circumstances, Sawyddollah expressed gratitude to the Bangladeshi government and the U.S. Embassy for their support in facilitating his visa.
