The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, visited the 10th Infantry Division and Cox’s Bazar area on November 17 and 18.

General Zaman laid the foundation stones for two residential projects—Senanir and Swapnachura—during the visit at the Ramu Cantonment.

These initiatives aim to address the housing challenges faced by officers, junior commissioned officers, and other army ranks.

Meanwhile, the Army Chief’s spouse, Sarahanaz Kamalika Zaman, was the chief guest at the inauguration of Proyas, a specialized educational institution at the Ramu Cantonment.

She also unveiled a new nameplate for Ramu Cantonment Public School and College, renamed Shaheed Lieutenant Tanzim Cantonment Public School and College, in honor of Lieutenant Tanzim Sarowar Nirjon.

Lieutenant Tanzim Sarowar Nirjon made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation on September 24, 2024. His courage and patriotism remain a beacon of inspiration for future generations.

Senior military officials from Army Headquarters and Ramu Cantonment graced the events, along with members of Lieutenant Tanzim’s family, junior commissioned officers, soldiers, civilian staff, and students and teachers from Shaheed Lieutenant Tanzim Cantonment Public School and College.
