According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is showing signs of intensifying further, prompting the issuance of a distant cautionary signal No 1. The system has already made the sea rough near its center.

Meteorologist Md. Bazlur Rashid released the information in a special weather bulletin (No. 2) on Tuesday, November 26.

The bulletin stated that the low-pressure area, previously located over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, has moved west-northwest and is currently positioned over the southwest Bay of Bengal and its surrounding areas. 

As of midnight on Monday, November 25, it was approximately 2,060 km south-southwest of Chattogram port, 1,995 km south-southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 1,995 km south-southwest of Mongla port, and 1,970 km south-southwest of Payra port.
