An 8-day special awareness campaign focusing on cleanliness, dengue prevention, and reducing single-use plastic is currently underway in Cox’s Bazar.

The campaign involves 150 volunteers actively participating in various initiatives. These include cleanliness drives across different parts of the city, distributing leaflets highlighting the harmful effects of single-use plastics, spraying insecticides to prevent dengue, public announcements through loudspeakers, and raising awareness among residents and tourists alike.

The Bangladesh Tourism Board and the Cox’s Bazar District Administration launched the initiative on November 29 in partnership with the Cox’s Bazar Municipality, Tourist Police, UN Volunteers Bangladesh, and YASID.

This awareness campaign aims to make Cox’s Bazar cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally conscious by December 7.
