On January 1, 2025, Cox’s Bazar Government High School’s Cultural Club (CGHSCC) will host a debate workshop for the inaugural 1st CGHSCC Intra-School Debate Competition 2025.
The event will occur in the school’s Shaheed Shah Alam Bashir Auditorium, starting at 10 AM. The session will train participants in the Asian Parliamentary Debate Format.
The workshop will feature two prominent debaters and journalists as trainers: Tanvirul Miraj Ripon, an Independent journalist for an international media outlet and an experienced debater, and Rajin Saleh, a journalist at The Daily Cox’s Bazar Life and a seasoned debater.
This year’s theme for CGHSCC is “Winning is secondary; learning is the priority. Long live debates!”
The workshop aims to enhance participants’ critical thinking, reasoning, and teamwork skills. Organizers believe it will help students develop intellectual curiosity and foster a rational mindset.
CGHSCC invited all students interested in debate to join the workshop. They hope the initiative will nurture talent, instill a passion for logical reasoning, and articulate discourse among students.
