Moheshkhali-born scholar and author Professor Salimullah Khan is among the recipients of the prestigious Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024. He has been recognized in the Essay/Prose category for his outstanding contributions to literature.
The announcement came through a press release signed by Professor Mohammad Azam, Director General of Bangla Academy, following approval by the institution’s Executive Council on January 23.
According to the statement, the awards were conferred based on recommendations from the “Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024 Proposing Committee” and the subsequent decision of the “Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024 Committee.”
Nine other esteemed poets and writers who have received honors in various categories join Professor Salimullah Khan.
