A week-long youth festival organized by the Bangladesh Surfing Association (BSA) has commenced today at Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Beach.
The event began with a colorful rally at 10 AM from the district administration’s open stage, with the slogan “Change the Country, Change the World.” Many male and female surfers attended the rally, which paraded across the beach.
Prominent surfing community figures, including BSA General Secretary Moazzem Hossain Rokon, Executive Member and Senior Instructor Saifullah Sifat, Senior Surfer Shukkur, and Jaago Foundation’s Project Manager Md. Amjad Hossain delivered motivational speeches to the young participants.
The festival will feature daily morning gatherings of surfers, special training sessions under the guidance of senior instructors, surfing exhibitions at key beach locations, and awareness campaigns to keep the beach clean.
The event will conclude on February 5 with the selection and recognition of the best performers, marking the end of an energetic celebration of youth and surfing.
