A Community Risk Assessment (CRA) training workshop was recently held in Cox’s Bazar to strengthen disaster management capacity at the grassroots level. The session aimed to enhance the Union Disaster Management Committee (UDMC) members’ understanding of risk assessment while equipping them with skills to respond effectively to disasters.
UDMC members, volunteers, women’s group leaders, and other local representatives participated in the workshop. Disaster management experts conducted sessions on risk identification, preventive measures, and emergency response strategies.
Participants gained practical insights into implementing disaster preparedness initiatives in their respective areas. After the workshop, community members emphasized expanding such capacity-building programs to ensure better resilience against disasters.
