The Department of Law at Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU) organized a seminar on Friday in the university auditorium titled “Trial of Cases by Magistrates and Trials before Courts of Sessions.”

Dr. Md. Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan, Registrar General of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, attended as the keynote speaker. Lion Md graced the event. Mujibur Rahman, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CBIU, was the chief guest. The seminar was presided over by Khan Habiba Mustarin, Chairperson of the Law Department. Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Touhid Hossain Chowdhury, Faculty Dean Professor Kazi Mustain Billah, and other distinguished faculty members attended it.

In his keynote address, Dr. Md. Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan emphasized the critical role of law students in shaping the nation’s future. He encouraged them to enhance their knowledge and skills to uphold justice and strengthen the judicial system.

Lecturer Raya Bhattacharya conducted the seminar, which was attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and students of the Law Department.
