The “Kitkot Chair”, a unique beach chair with an umbrella, has become an essential part of the Cox’s Bazar beach experience. Almost every visitor finds themselves relaxing on one at some point—soaking in the ocean view, enjoying the sea breeze, or simply taking a break from the sun.
These specially designed chairs provide not only comfort but also protection from the sun and sudden rain.
Featuring a wooden frame with a cushioned bed, they offer a cozy place to unwind.
Kitkot Chairs are available at various points along the beach, including Diabetes Point, Shaibal Point, Laboni, Sugandha, Kolatoli, Bhanger Mor, Dariyanagar, Inani, Patua Tek, and Saint Martin’s Island.
According to local business operators, these chairs are set up with permission from the district administration, and operators pay a fee to the Beach Management Committee. Tourists can rent a Kitkot Chair for Tk30 per hour.
For visitors looking to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of Cox’s Bazar Beach, the Kitkot Chair remains a popular and convenient option.
