Due to its distinct taste, Anarkoli has gained immense popularity among tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar. Its widespread appeal has even led locals to call it “tourist fruit.”
The fruit is abundantly found in the hill regions and home gardens of Cox’s Bazar.
Once overlooked, Anarkoli has become a sought-after fruit, leading to its commercial cultivation in various hilly areas of Cox’s Bazar to meet the growing demand.
