During the holy month of Ramadan, many Muslim-majority countries worldwide reduce the prices of essential goods, offering special discounts—especially in the Middle East. This trend is gradually gaining momentum in Bangladesh, with major supermarkets introducing exclusive Ramadan discounts.

Most of these discounts apply to essential items for Iftar and Sehri, allowing shoppers to take advantage of these offers. Consumers welcome these price cuts as a much-needed relief with the continuous rise in commodity prices.

Supermarket authorities state that the initiative aims to ease people’s financial burden during this sacred month, ensuring they can comfortably observe Ramadan.
