Several areas along Cox’s Bazar’s Marine Drive are experiencing a scheduled power outage today, Sunday, from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM, as announced by the Power Development Board (BPDB).
According to the BPDB notice, the outage is necessary for road expansion work, relocation of electrical poles and lines, emergency repairs, and maintenance. The affected areas include Bailey Hatchery, Mangalapara, Barachhara, Dariyanagar, Shuknachhari, Himchhari Army Camp, and the local police outpost.
The authorities have assured that power will be restored sooner if the work is completed ahead of schedule. The BPDB has apologized for the temporary inconvenience and urged residents and businesses to take necessary precautions in advance.
