The National Citizens’ Party (NCP), a newly formed political movement born from the spirit of mass uprisings, organized a mass iftar and prayer gathering in Cox’s Bazar to commemorate the martyrs and injured of the July Uprising.
The unique event took place on Monday (March 10) at the Cox’s Bazar Central Shaheed Minar premises, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, the public, and individuals from various professions.
Before iftar, NCP Joint Member Secretary S.M. Suza Uddin addressed the gathering, stating, “We stand in a month that will mark the end of fascist rule. A time will come when everyone can express their opinions freely, and society will be safe for all.” He also thanked the participants and student activists for their support.
Following the speech, NCP leaders and members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement joined the public in breaking their fast after a collective prayer.
