In the heart of Ukhiya’s Camp 4, a humble two-story school made of bamboo and wood stands as a symbol of resilience and hope. Here, Rohingya children gather to learn Bengali, English, and their native language, their laughter echoing through the narrow staircases as they climb towards a brighter future.
These stairs are not just steps — they are pathways to possibilities. Despite the limitations that prevent Rohingya children from enrolling in local Bangladeshi schools, this camp-based school offers a sanctuary of learning. With support from humanitarian organizations, children receive religious and academic education, empowering them with knowledge and the promise of a better tomorrow.
The classrooms buzz with energy, as eager faces light up with curiosity and teachers tirelessly guide their students through lessons. Each page turned, each word learned, adds another thread to the tapestry of hope these children weave daily.
This small school is more than a place of education; it’s a testament to human perseverance. It’s a space where dreams take root, and every child’s step up the wooden stairs is a step towards rewriting their future.
