Cox’s Bazar commemorated the great Independence Day with various programs, paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War. The day began with a floral tribute at the Cox’s Bazar Central Shaheed Minar, led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin and Superintendent of Police Md. Saifuddin Shaheen.
Officials from the District Council, valiant freedom fighters, public representatives, political and distinguished figures, and officials from government and non-government institutions participated in the event alongside people from all walks of life.
The observance officially commenced at sunrise on Sunday, March 26. Later, a formal ceremony was held at the Bir Shreshtha Ruhul Amin Stadium, featuring the hoisting of the national flag, the rendition of the national anthem, and a parade performed by students from various educational institutions.
