In the holy month of Ramadan, Cox’s Bazar takes on a different charm in the early morning hours. Before the daily rush begins, the city’s streets remain largely calm and free from the usual bustle. A sense of quiet serenity prevails, while the cool breeze from the nearby sea makes the atmosphere even more refreshing.
After sehri and Fajr prayers, many people head out for morning walks across different roads and open spaces in the city to maintain their health and enjoy mental relaxation. During this time, people of all ages stroll along the streets. Some walk slowly alone, while others spend the time chatting with friends or acquaintances.
For many residents, the city’s peaceful morning environment during Ramadan becomes particularly enjoyable. The calm, clean atmosphere before the day’s activities begin blends with the spiritual mood of the holy month, creating a unique ambience.
Moin Uddin, a morning walker, said that the city feels especially calm and refreshing after dawn during Ramadan.
“After sehri and prayers, it feels wonderful to walk in the cool morning breeze. It keeps the body healthy and the mind refreshed,” he said.
He added that the city becomes much busier during the day, which is why many people prefer to enjoy the quiet of early morning by going for a walk.
