In Ukhiya-Teknaf, innovative local entrepreneurs are creating one-time-use plates and bowls from the sheaths of fallen areca palm leaves.
Made from the discarded sheaths of areca trees, the eco-friendly tableware showcases the area’s unique approach to sustainable products.
These items are available for purchase at the E F S N Beneficiary’s Shop in the Dynamic Cox Kingdom Shopping Complex, located at Kolatoli Point in the city.
Asibul Hasan, Executive Director of the program, shared with Cox’s Bazar Life, “Entrepreneurs from Ukhiya-Teknaf are producing these items, and all profits go directly to them.”
