Pods of dolphins are once again being spotted gliding across the blue waters of Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach, sometimes in pairs, sometimes in groups, playfully riding the waves. Their graceful movement across the calm sea resembles a living painting — a sight that has now become increasingly common along the world’s longest natural sea beach.

With tourist numbers declining recently, the marine environment has grown noticeably quieter. Lifeguards on duty say this calmer setting has encouraged dolphins to come closer to the shoreline. Cameras are now regularly capturing their joyful movements.

Senior lifeguard Zainal Abedin Bhutto said dolphins have been sighted at specific times in areas including Nazirartek, Kolatoli, and Darya Nagar. In the tranquil waters and cleaner surroundings, the marine mammals appear to move about more freely and comfortably.

When we treat the sea with care, nature reciprocates. Their presence along the Cox’s Bazar coast stands as a hopeful symbol of harmony between humans and the marine ecosystem.
