A five-member delegation, led by the Australian High Commissioner, visited various Rohingya camps in Ukhiya yesterday. The team inspected Moynarghona Camp 11 and Camp 18, where they observed activities at a Women and Girls’ Safe Space run by a non-governmental organization and the Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre.
Additionally, the delegation visited the joint registration site in G/2 block of Camp 12, operated by UNHCR, where they discussed issues with officials and camp residents.
The visiting delegation included the Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mrs. Susan Ryle, the First Secretary at the Australian High Commission, Mr. Nick Maclean, the Senior Humanitarian Program Manager, Mrs. Bonoshree Sarker, and the Humanitarian Program Officer, Mr. Hasin Sadab Bhuiyan.
