Atoshi, a flowering plant species from the pea family, has the scientific name Crotalaria retusa. Originally native to tropical Asia, Africa, and Australia, this plant can also be found in various regions of Bangladesh.

The photo shows bees collecting nectar from Atoshi flowers in a garden in Cox’s Bazar.

When bees land on a flower, the pollen immediately becomes erect, and fine hairs press firmly, allowing the bees to collect nectar from the flower.

It is often said that bees and flowers exchange a unique exchange. In a literal sense, bees and flowers are attracted to each other.
