On January 24 and 25, 2025, under the initiative of the Chinta-Bhabboithoki Pathchakro, two conferences titled “Bhabbaittiki: Cox’s Bazar Conference” will be held in Cox’s Bazar. Renowned poet, thinker, environmentalist, and human rights activist Farhad Mazhar will be the keynote speaker at the events.

The first session, scheduled for 3 PM on January 24 at Shaheed Subhash Hall in Cox’s Bazar Public Library, will delve into “Popular Sovereignty and the Formation of a New Political Community: The Bay of Bengal Geopolitical Context.”

The second session, at 10 AM on January 25, will address “Cox’s Bazar Report: Rohingya Crisis, Ecosystem, Civic Rights, and Political Economy.”

The Cox’s Bazar Community Alliance and the National Civic Committee (Cox’s Bazar) co-host the conferences. Participation requires prior registration.

This intellectually stimulating event aims to bring together thinkers, activists, and concerned citizens to reflect on pressing issues relevant to Cox’s Bazar and its role in broader geopolitical and social contexts.
