The three-day Burning Crab Festival wrapped up with a spectacular blend of music, dance, lights, and cultural performances. On the festival’s final day, Dr. Syed Jamil Ahmed, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, graced the event, enjoying the entire event and praising its artistic diversity.
Speaking to Cox’s Bazar Life, he expressed his admiration:
“This festival is truly extraordinary. It seamlessly blends modernity with aesthetic lighting, traditional Baul songs, and indigenous dance performances, making it a mesmerizing experience.”
Hosted at the Mermaid Beach Resort on Pechar Dwip along the Marine Drive, the festival brought together local and international artists for a vibrant celebration. The event featured fire shows, lighting displays, film screenings, and performances by local artists.
Mermaid Eco-Tourism Ltd.’s organizers expressed their excitement over the festival’s success and revealed plans to make future editions grander and more immersive.
