Cox’s Bazar International University celebrated the Bengali New Year 1433 with colourful programmes, turning the entire campus into a festive venue through day-long events.
The university campus hosted a vibrant rally in the morning, with participation from teachers, students, and staff. Decorated with colourful banners, festoons and traditional attire, the procession created a festive atmosphere across the campus.
A cultural program followed, featuring songs, dance, recitation, and a handicrafts exhibition performed by students that captured the audience. Traditional food stalls were also a major attraction, drawing attention from participants.
The event included a discussion session where speakers emphasised the significance of the Bengali nation’s cultural heritage and traditions.. The session was addressed by Dean Professor Kazi Mostain Billah, Treasurer Professor Dr. Belal Noor Azizi, and Registrar Rajidul Haque.
Adita Barua, convener of the New Year’s celebration committee, delivered the welcome speech at the beginning of the program organised by the CBIU Cultural Club.
Teachers, officials, and students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the day-long event, which reflected the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Bengali people.
