“Celestial Night,” a unique event in Cox’s Bazar, brought together the sea’s natural beauty and the cosmos’ wonders to create an unforgettable evening. Under the full moon, participants gazed at planets and stars through telescopes while enjoying live music, making it an extraordinary experience on Saturday night (January 25).
The event’s highlight was witnessing a rare celestial alignment, where all the planets in the solar system appeared in a straight line. Enthusiasts gathered along the seashore near Orchid Blue Resort to marvel at this phenomenon. Adding to the allure, attendees enjoyed camping in tents, cozy campfires, live barbecues, and soulful musical performances.
Advanced telescopes allowed stargazers to observe Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and other celestial bodies in stunning detail. To ensure a comfortable experience, a smooth transport arrangement was provided from Dolphin Point to the venue.
The event package, priced at Tk1,999, included camping, meals, and access to telescopic night sky views. Participants described the night as an extraordinary experience, with one remarking, “Spending a night by the sea under such a star-studded sky is something we’ll cherish forever.”
Many believe Celestial Night has set a new benchmark for tourism events in Cox’s Bazar, showcasing the potential to blend natural and cosmic beauty into an unforgettable adventure.
