Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the Cox’s Bazar District Model Masjid and Islamic Cultural Center.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 PM at the newly constructed masjid adjacent to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Religious Affairs Advisor Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain and senior government officials are expected to attend the event.
The four-story masjid, built at a cost of approximately Tk 20 crore, features modern amenities and striking architecture. It can accommodate up to 1,200 worshippers at a time. The ground floor houses an Islamic Cultural Center, which promotes religious education and activities.
