Under the “Youth-Led Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Initiatives in Bangladesh & Myanmar” project, Hasi Mukh Youth & Social Development Foundation (HMYSDF) organized a “Consultation and Validation Workshop on Financial Management Policy” on 11 September 2026 at the HMYSDF Office, with organizational members and relevant stakeholders in attendance.
The workshop aimed to facilitate a participatory consultation on the proposed Financial Management Policy, gather insights and recommendations from key stakeholders, and validate the policy provisions to ensure the organization’s financial management practices are transparent, accountable, efficient, and aligned with sound institutional governance principles.
The workshop brought together HMYSDF members and relevant stakeholders representing different levels of engagement. Participants engaged in detailed discussions on key areas of financial management, including financial transparency and accountability, budgeting and expenditure management, financial documentation and record-keeping, authorization and approval procedures, internal financial controls, roles and responsibilities, and overall financial oversight.
Participants shared suggestions, recommendations, and practical insights to strengthen the proposed Financial Management Policy and ensure it remains relevant to the institution’s operational and conand constitutional needs. The consultation facilitated a shared understanding of the necessary amendments and additions to the policy, while emphasizing the importance of good governance, transparency, accountability, financial discipline, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
During the workshop, participants emphasized that effective financial management is fundamental to sustainable institutional development, organizational credibility, and responsible program implementation. A comprehensive and well-structured Financial Management Policy is expected to play a vital role in ensuring the prudent use of organizational resources, strengthening internal controls, promoting transparency and accountability, and maintaining sound financial practices.
The workshop concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen HMYSDF’s institutional policies, governance mechanisms, and management systems through inclusive, participatory processes. HMYSDF expressed its commitment to continuing such initiatives to enhance organizational capacity, accountability, transparency, and institutional effectiveness.
