A consultation meeting was held at the Cox’s Bazar Chakaria Peace Center to discuss ways to ensure safe migration, support victims of migration fraud, and improve services for migrants at the local level.

On Monday, Liton Kanti Chowdhury, Assistant Director of the Cox’s Bazar District Employment and Manpower Office, led discussions on how DEMO (District Employment and Manpower Office) services can be extended to the grassroots level and how to collaborate effectively with Upazila Migration Coordination Committees.

The event was chaired by Parvez Siddiqui, Executive Director of Films for Peace Foundation, while Chakaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Atikur Rahman attended as the chief guest. He assured full support in ensuring safe migration practices.

This initiative is being implemented under the PERI project, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office, with support from Films for Peace Foundation and The Asia Foundation.

The project aims to empower migrants to pursue their dreams safely and securely.
