The Cox’s Bazar district administration has held an exchange meeting to discuss measures to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply amid the evolving global situation and rising geopolitical tensions centred on the Middle East.

The meeting focused on possible global energy supply disruptions stemming from ongoing international tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. 

Officials discussed strategies for energy management, maintaining supply continuity, and preparing for potential disruptions.

Officials from the power, energy, and other relevant government departments attended the meeting on March 7. 

Participants shared views on maintaining normal supply systems, preparing for potential shortages, and ensuring coordinated responses in any emergency.

Officials from the district administration stressed that proactive preparation was essential to minimise the impact of global developments at the local level. 

Emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination among all relevant agencies.

The meeting also noted that the district administration was taking comprehensive measures to maintain stable fuel supplies and safeguard residents’ interests in Cox’s Bazar in the event of a potential crisis.
