The District Law and Order Committee meeting, organized by the Cox’s Bazar District Administration, was held Monday morning at the Shaheed ATM Zafar Alam Conference Hall in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin presided over the meeting.

In his remarks, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that ensuring locals’ and tourists’ safety and well-being is the top priority. He also called for strengthened security measures in the Rohingya camps.

Police Superintendent Muhammad Rahmat Ullah, Additional District Magistrate Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Civil Surgeon Dr. Asif Ahmed Hawlader, Press Club President Mahbubur Rahman, and General Secretary Momtaz Uddin Bahari were speakers at the meeting. Members of the Anti-Discrimination Movement and other relevant officials from various government offices and law enforcement agencies were also present.

The meeting covered topics such as dengue control, prevention of hill cutting, combating drug trafficking, and regulating essential commodity prices. Discussions also included plans for mobile court operations to maintain law and order on these issues.
