Cox’s Bazar Blood Donors’ Society, the largest volunteer organization in the region, held an orientation and welcome event for its 100 new members on Sunday (December 29).

The ceremony occurred at 3 PM in the Jhinuq Food Park Hall Room, where the organization formally greeted the new members with flowers.

Imran Hossain Nabi, a management committee member, moderated the event, while Mozahid Ali, the society’s admin, presided over it. 

Other management members provided motivational and organizational guidance, including Mohammad Hossain, Mohammad Mohsin, Mahmudul Hasan Rashed, Hasan Parvez, and Rashedul Islam Russell.

Addressing the gathering, Admin Mozahid Ali emphasized the importance of working in a disciplined and organized manner. 

He outlined the society’s goals, including preventing child marriage through social and legal interventions, raising awareness about thalassemia and ensuring free blood donations for patients, providing financial assistance to underprivileged patients, and reuniting missing or homeless individuals with their families after rehabilitation.

Mozahid Ali concluded by urging all members to advance their humanitarian efforts, embodying the organization’s motto of selfless service to society.
